As I’ve said in my previous posts that this 2010 will open a big bang in the boxing sports arena. On January 23, Steven Luevano vs Juan Manuel Lopez will take each other in the center of the ring in a championship fight for the featherweight title bout. Let’s see what happens next after this fight, meanwhile, see below another follow up salvo for Mosley and Berto.
Aside from the fight in the featherweight division, we will also witness a week after the match Sugar Shane Mosley vs Andre Berto in a 12-round championship welterweight bout. Shane is after winning this fight because he desperately wants the attention of the now best pound for pound boxer in the welterweight division which is Manny Pacquiao and I can see that if Mosley gets to take down Berto, he could become an option for Pacquiao instead of fighting for yet another title in another weight division with the Jr middleweight champ Yuri Foreman.
Let’s see if Sugar Shane Mosley who is looking for some attention from Pacquiao will get it this time. I can only remember last time when Mosley tried to counter Pacquiao by siding it off with Miguel Angel Cotto in the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight. Shane was a failure in his estimates because it was very clear that Pacquiao devastated the champ, Cotto to the last round. Pacquiao has proven superior despite the size advantage of Cotto and so Mosley failed to get what he sees and he failed to get Pacquiao’s attention. Let’s see if he wins against Andre Berto this time so he can shout out that he wants Pacquiao next.
