One Web Day is a global celebration of all internet users in the world. In the Philippines, we are supporting (not sure if it’s the first time) this event to show how organized we are. Different event will highlight the celebration of One Web Day, in fact I even saw Mozilla punch out their all out support for the said global event.
One Web Day events in the Philippines include blogging competition, visual art competition, music jam (featuring local Philippines bands like South Border / 4.0), the online Pinoy entrepreneur grand eyeball, Cyberzone activity, free pc and laptop repair, and an audio-visual presentation of the history of internet.
Other highlights of the event will include tutorials on web and pc and providing a free wi-fi zone for internet users. One Web Day is celebrated here in the Philippines on September 22, 2009 at the SM Baliwag and SM Mall of Asia.
