The official 25th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2009 venue is in Vientiane, Laos and the different sporting events started a few days ago. Specific dates were already released for the event undertaking and they are as follows: December 9 – 18, 2009 while the venue is in Vientiane Laos.
The total awards / medals to be given in the event is 390 gold. All these will be given to the best in the different categorical events in sports as listed in the SEA games 2009. In the meantime, there are all in all 11 participating countries for the SEA games this year.
Competing countries from South East Asia are Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, Timor-Leste, Brunei and Vietnam,
The Philippines will be participating in different events with its 253 athlete representation. Initial estimates were set by sports enthusiasts that the team is looking to take home 15 gold medals. That is from out of the overall 390 gold medals to be given in all the events combined. Good luck to the Philippines!
