Magnitude 8.8 Chile Earthquake 2010 Picture

(February 27, 2010) – A very strong magnitude 8.8 earthquake falls in Chile streets and creates a super tsunami. The 8.8 quake according to MSNBC news killed at least 214 people. Roads blocked with debris and left without power to become a deserted tragedy area in darkness.

Big cracks appeared in the middle of bridges and streets. The said quake also created a humongous tsunami that crashed all around vast areas. The Pacific coastline countries were being warned of a possible crashing waves. Japan has prepared. (more…)

Pulse Asia Latest Presidential Candidates Survey

The latest Pulse Asia survey for presidential candidates had been released a few days ago and since I am very busy, I was late on posting about it. Anyway, Noynoy Aquino still leads among all presidential aspirants for the 2010 Philippine Election. This survey was done without the name of Jamby Madrigal included and was conducted last December 8 – 10, 2009. There were 1,800 people (votees) asked regarding who they will vote as president. The list of COMELEC is finally down to only 8 final presidential candidates for the upcoming 2010 Philippine presidential / national election. The said voting day is tentatively scheduled to happen on May 2010 despite the fact that the full automation of the election public information has not yet started. Mayon Volcano Erupts: alert level raised to 3

It all started Monday December 14, when the alert level in Albay due to the eruption of Mayon Volcano was raised. This is to let the public know that there is sure danger and that areas that are inhabited by people must soon be requested to be evacuated. While some residents already left the restricted area or danger zone, some have refused to leave their belongings and priced possession as well as tilled agricultural lands. (more…)

Martial Law in Maguindanao lifted

The declaration of martial law in Maguindanao, the site for the bloodiest mediamen killing in the Philippines was already lifted. For some reason, the government or the president of the Philippines has finally decided to lift martial law which was earlier declared in Maguindanao to prevent lawless violence which could possibly be caused by the killings in Sharif Aguak. Maguindanao Massacre: Backhoe Operator Missing

After the manhunt for the backhoe operator was launched by the military, he immediately disappeared from his home. Tha backhoe operator’s name according to the news is “Hamid Delauden” and not Hanid Delayuden. Either which, he is still a major asset that will surely pave the way for the Maguindanao massacre case. Gloria Arroyo runs for congress in Pampanga

It’s a shame according to some to have the incumbent president of the Philippines Gloria Arroyo to run for congress in the upcoming 2010 Philippine election.

To some it is a desperate move to stay away from the possibility that she will be tried for cases that her administration is leaving in 2010 to the next president of the Philippines. This is because the law prohibits her from running as president once more. (more…)

It’s final and confirmed that it will be Gordon Fernando for 2010. These two have joined forces after each of their parties have rejected them to become the standard bearer for the upcoming 2010 Philippines election.
